Where possible, we aim to resolve matters through negotiation and mediation so clients can avoid the financial and emotional costs of litigation in Court. We can assist with preparing a
Binding Financial Agreement or Consent Orders when parties have reached an agreement about parenting and property after separation.
However, we understand that not all matters can be resolved out-of-court or by agreement. We can represent clients at all stages of family law proceedings (including Interim Hearings, Court-based Conciliation Conferences, and Trial) and can appear at both the Lismore and Brisbane family courts.
We also provide assistance and advice with Binding Financial Agreements before entering
into a de-facto relationship or marriage (to help plan your affairs and reduce the risk of
litigation in the future).
